How has life changed since the death of your child and what has helped?

We’ve learned from our bereaved parents at SLOW that their relationship with grief changes over time and that many feel ‘recalibrated’ after the death of their child. Often slowly, imperceptible shifts occur over time and we are working with the University of Hertfordshire to understand these changes and also what or who helped bereaved parents in their grief.

Molly, a psychologist in training at the University of Hertfordshire, is looking for current or previous SLOW members who would be willing to be interviewed about how they have gradually adjusted to living life without their child, and what has helped them in this process.

Molly will be holding a number of one-to-one interviews either via Zoom or face to face in the next few months. This research is a great opportunity for us at SLOW to consider how we can improve the support we offer for everyone who uses our service.
