SLOW Charity Christmas Card 2026

2026 SLOW Christmas Card

This year’s SLOW Christmas card is based on a design by Manni Bolton, aged 10, the winner of our Christmas card competition.

His festive drawings and moving poem hold both the joy of Christmas and the ache of someone missing, something many of us feel at this time of year.

Cards come in packs of 5 with envelopes.

Thanks to donated printing by MRG Global, 100% of the proceeds help SLOW offer free peer-led support to bereaved parents and siblings across the UK.

£6.00 per pack of 5

Based on a design by ten-year-old Manni Bolton, the winner of our Christmas card competition, featuring a moving original poem and charming festive illustrations.

On the front, the poem opens with the joys of Christmas: stars shining, robins chirping, people laughing.

Open the card and the whole poem unfolds.

It gently makes room for the person in our family who is missing, and ends with the words “With us forever”. At a time of year when so many of us are thinking of someone who isn’t here, it’s a quiet gift to share.

Thanks to donated printing, 100% of the proceeds go directly to SLOW.

Every pack helps SLOW continue to offer free peer-led support to bereaved parents and siblings across the UK, so that no one has to face the death of a child or sibling alone, during the festive season or any time of year.

About our competition winner

Manni is 10 years old and the winner of our 2026 Christmas card competition. His original design shows a robin, a shining star, holly and twinkling fairy lights around his blue drawing of what a spirit might look like. To some, the light blue shape may also look like a teardrop. Either way, it’s a gentle reminder of how loss and love are intertwined.

Manni wrote his poem thinking of his step-sister Ayla, who died of cancer aged 17 in January 2023, not long after Christmas. It begins with the joys of the season and gently turns to the person who is missing, ending with the words “With us forever”.

When we adapted his design for printing, Manni was clear about what mattered most: that his whole poem was included, and that the spirit stayed with it.

Each part of his drawing has meaning for him. So inside the card, his full poem sits over the spirit from his original drawing, just as he intended. The front uses his festive drawings on a blue background, so the card prints beautifully.

Thank you, Manni, for sharing something so personal, and for helping us get it right.

£12 per print (one of only ten)

Before it became this year’s Christmas card, Manni’s design began as a single drawing. A robin, holly, a shining star and twinkling fairy lights sit around a soft blue shape, Manni’s picture of what a spirit might look like. For some, it may also look like a teardrop. Beside it, in his own handwriting, is the poem he wrote for his sister Ayla, ending with the words “With us forever”.

We’ve printed a limited edition of just 10 copies of Manni’s original design (with the first going stright to Manni), at A4 on silk paper. Each one is a reminder of how loss and love are held together, especially at Christmas.
