Love running? Love it even more if it’s for a good cause? Then come and join #TeamSLOW in the Royal Parks Half Marathon! In 2025 we are hoping to support more bereaved families than ever, so we’d be thrilled if you could join us, run this legendary half and fundraise for SLOW.

We have a number of places available for the Royal Park’s Half Marathon in London on Sunday 12th October 2025. The stunning 13.1 mile route takes in the capital’s world-famous landmarks on closed roads, and four of London’s eight Royal Parks – Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens.

A small £30 registration fee will secure your place and all we ask is for you to raise a minimum of £550 (per runner)

We provide both face-to-face gatherings (North and South London) and online meetings through Zoom, both during the daytime and also in the evenings.

Assistance is available for those who may not be familiar with using Zoom, so please don't let that hinder your participation.

Did you know SLOW also supports siblings who have lost a sister or a brother.

We have SLOWSibs 18+ which is online and a face2Face group where siblings share their experiences in a confidential, safe space. Bereaved Siblings facilitate these groups which means everybody 'gets it'. Please contact adultsibs@slowgroup.co.uk for more info.

We also support children between the ages of 6 and 13 years who have lost a brother or sister. This is an in person workshop, delivered by bereaved facilitators who are experienced in Arts & Crafts group therapy. This approach enables children to express their love, feel comfortable and less isolated in dealing with their grief because they are with others who are experiencing the same loss.
