We run a weekly daytime support group for bereaved parents via Zoom on Mondays from 11am until 12.30pm during school term time.
The SLOW support groups are a place to be yourself and take strength from the support of others, before returning to daily life and its challenges. At our meetings you can share stories with others who have experienced a similar kind of loss. For more information about what happens in our groups please click here.
In the words of some of our members
“SLOW works for me as it’s informal; there are no weekly themes or ‘grief exercises’, we just meet, listen and talk. Even though the pain of my losing my little girl is still there, I no longer feel isolated as I have SLOW.”
“Being listened to and understood is for bereaved parents a ray of hope amidst a world that has fallen apart.”
“Since my first visit to SLOW after the sudden death of my daughter I have found the group has given me comfort, inclusion and the knowledge I can share my deepest feelings of shock, pain, isolation, anger and fear with those who have felt and are feeling the same.”
If you are new to SLOW please get in touch with the group organiser (contact details below) for more details about joining.
